Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ABIEM (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information through the My Red Cousin website and mobile application (together, the “Services”). ABIEM is the controller of personal information held by us.

1. The short version

The current app works without an account. Cycle and wellness data is stored in an encrypted database on your device and is not sent to us. Data can leave your device when you deliberately export it, contact support, or—if offered later—explicitly enable optional encrypted cloud sync. The website waitlist stores only the email address and consent record you submit.

2. Information handled by the app

The app may store period dates, flow, symptoms, moods, notes, sexual-activity entries, cycle settings, predictions, an optional display name, and app preferences. Cycle entries and sensitive cycle settings are encrypted using a key protected by your device’s operating-system security. The app excludes its private data from normal Android cloud backup and transfer and from iCloud backup. We cannot access or recover this locally stored information.

If you create a JSON export, it is plaintext and may contain sensitive health information. You choose where it is saved or shared, and the destination’s privacy practices apply. If you contact support, we receive the name, email, message, and locale you submit through our service provider, Supabase. Please avoid including health information unless it is necessary for your request.

3. Website and waitlist information

When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, submission time, and the versions of this policy and the Terms you accepted. We use this data with your consent to send launch and occasional My Red Cousin product updates, prevent abuse, and maintain a record of consent. The email is stored in a restricted SQLite database on the server hosting this website and is viewable only through an authenticated administration page. It is not health data, and you should not submit health information through the waitlist.

Our hosting infrastructure may process ordinary security and request logs, such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, and time. We use these logs to deliver and secure the website. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral analytics on this website.

4. Future optional sync

Cloud sync is not available in the current app. If introduced, it will be off by default and require a deliberate opt-in. Our intended design is to encrypt cycle data on the device before upload. Before launch, we will explain the encryption model, providers, account data, retention, deletion, recovery, and fees, update this policy, and request any consent required by law.

5. Use, sharing, and legal bases

We do not sell personal information or use cycle information for advertising, insurance, employment decisions, or unrelated profiling. We use waitlist data based on your consent; support data to answer your request and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing support; and technical logs for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Services. We may disclose server-held information to service providers acting for us, when required by valid legal process, to protect people or the Services, or to establish and defend legal claims.

6. Retention and deletion

• App data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall.
• Export files remain wherever you chose to save them until you delete them.
• Waitlist records remain until you withdraw consent, ask us to delete them, or twelve months after the initial public release, whichever comes first, unless retention is legally required.
• Support records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain security records, comply with law, and resolve disputes.

7. Your choices and rights

You may withdraw waitlist consent or request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of information held by us by contacting info@abiem.solutions. You may object to certain processing and complain to your local data-protection authority. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions. Because we cannot access data stored only on your device, you control that information using the app and your device controls.

8. Security, children, and changes

We use safeguards appropriate to the information, including HTTPS, restricted server files, authenticated waitlist administration, encrypted local app storage, and operating-system protected keys. No system is completely secure. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and the waitlist is intended for people who can lawfully consent to these updates. We may update this policy as the Services or legal requirements change and will show the new effective date. Material changes will receive appropriate notice and consent where required.

Terms and Conditions

These Terms govern your use of this website, the waitlist, and—when made available—the My Red Cousin app. By using the Services or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Availability and eligibility

The app is currently in testing. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access, a release date, platform availability, features, or pricing. You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. If local law requires permission from a parent or guardian, you may use the Services only with that permission.

2. Waitlist communications

By checking the consent box and joining, you ask us to send launch and occasional product updates to the email provided. You can withdraw consent at any time by using an unsubscribe method included in a message or emailing us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it. Do not submit another person’s email without their permission.

3. App license and acceptable use

If we provide the app, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for lawful, non-commercial purposes under these Terms and the applicable app-store rules. You may not misuse the Services, interfere with their security or operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious or automated traffic, infringe another person’s rights, or use the Services unlawfully. Rights not expressly granted remain with ABIEM and its licensors.

4. Your data and backups

You retain responsibility for information you enter and for keeping any backup copies you need. App exports are plaintext and should be stored and shared carefully. You authorize us to process information you deliberately submit to the website or support only as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Health and fertility disclaimer

My Red Cousin is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.

The Services are for personal informational, entertainment, and general wellness purposes only. Period, cycle, fertile-window, and ovulation predictions are estimates based on information you provide and simplified assumptions. Bodies and cycles vary, and estimates may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Do not use the Services as contraception, to decide whether unprotected sex is safe, to confirm or exclude pregnancy, or as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional and contact local emergency services in an emergency.

6. Changes and third-party services

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may update these Terms. We will provide notice when required, and continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised Terms. Operating systems, app stores, file destinations, and support providers are governed by their own terms and policies; we do not control them.

7. No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise that estimates will be correct or that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular health, fertility, or pregnancy-related decision.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ABIEM will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss; loss of data; or decisions made in reliance on app estimates. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights or liability for fraud or intentional misconduct.

9. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania, without removing protections that mandatory law gives you in your country of residence.
